Hurray! Firsts

Hurray! is a leader in the introduction of new wireless value-added services in China.

We were the first service provider in China to introduce:

    Since the fourth quarter of 2003, a key component of all of our marketing efforts for our 2G and 2.5G services has been to brand our services under the "Hawa" name with a cheerful cartoon logo.

    To strengthen user loyalty and reward our high-end customers who regularly purchase our services, we have established the Hawa Club. Users register for free through a link which appears on each of our WAP services. Once in the club, users can participate in contests and receive club points for using our services which can be exchanged for additional services or free gifts such as mobile phones or celebrity signatures.

    Our online sales and marketing activities include WAP and SMS pushes, where promotional messages are delivered directly to users' mobile phones. We also bundle certain services together for a single fixed fee that is lower than if each service had been ordered separately.

    We also focus on offline sales and marketing activities such as co-hosting promotional events around China with the mobile operators and conducting integrated sales campaigns with traditional media companies and multinational corporations.For example, from 2002 to 2003, we jointly organized a sales campaign and numerous retail promotions with Pepsi. People that sent several SMS messages to friends would win Pepsi beverages and other prizes.

    Hurray! recently appointed Taiwanese pop star Jolin Tsai as the Hawa.cn brand ambassador. Hurray! believes that Ms. Tsai is the first A-list star to represent a wireless value-added service provider in Mainland China as its brand ambassador, an unprecedented marketing concept in the value-added services market.

    Hurray! selected Jolin Tsai because it believes she captures the youth, style, spirit, and fun of Hurray!'s products and services.

    This marketing partnership gives Hurray! the right to use Ms. Tsai's name, image and music in all product advertising and promotions.

    In the highly competitive market to provide value-added services to China's young consumers, Hurray! expects that Jolin Tsai will strengthen Hurray!'s position as one of China's top mobile entertainment brand.
